I am an Alabama native and the son of a paper mill worker. I grew up in Prattville, Alabama, a suburb of Montgomery, where I professed faith in Christ in the local Southern Baptist Church. I’m grateful for those roots.
I believe I was born again during my college years at Auburn University Montgomery. It was also during that time the Lord provided my beautiful wife, Michelle. Together we have four children; three girls and a boy.
My call to ministry took a circuitous route. I believe the Lord called me to ministry not long after my conversion. On the day after our first wedding anniversary, Michelle and I moved to Los Angeles, California where I studied at The Master’s Seminary. But California is expensive. We soon ran out of money and moved back home.
After a 10-year banking career with Colonial Bank and BB&T, we moved to Greenville, South Carolina where I earned my Master of Divinity Degree at Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
We moved to Southwest Mississippi to take the call at New Covenant in November 2020. God has blessed us richly through this body of believers and we rejoice to serve in their midst.
